So many pictures to scrap from our vacation--so little time to scrap!  Gotta love the digi-scrapping!

What's Happening Wednesday!

I was cruising the blogs of some of my friends and I must say, there is so much crafty goodness out there in Blog Land!!!  I first stopped by Tanisha's blog.  I have been a follower of Tanisha's for some time--I can't remember how I stumbled upon her blog when I first started blogging but I have to tell you that she produces some of the most amazing projects I've seen.  Here is a sample of one of her LOs:

I then scooted over to Terry's blog and found this adorable Teddy Bear purse!  Make sure you drop by and get the instructions to make one of these yourself!

I've never been able to figure out why Janis' Blog is named "The Reluctant Scrapper" because she also produces some amazing projects!

And then Audrey is so crafty that she managed to take ordinary Poker Chips

And turn them into these little gems!

These ladies are amazing and I would encourage you to drop by and visit with them!

Some Cards!

I want to share some cards with you that I've made over the past few weeks.  This is a shutter card that I've been wanting to try and do for a while!

I also made a couple of Christmas cards.

I really like the color scheme in this green and white friendship

card!

I made this card in my Stampin' Up Club--I think it's powerful in its message.

I really like the geometry of collage cards!

I think I've posted this card before--either here or at Tellen's Place but it's a pretty card and I don't mind showing it again.

Hey There!

My goodness, it's been a while!  I feel as if I've been on a mad adventure.  Well, first thing's first--I mentioned in an earlier post that I had to take some special blood tests.  The good news is that my liver (which was the cause for concern) is fine, however, the bad news is that I was diagnosed with Type 2 Diabetes.

After some research into my condition, I began to understand why I was constantly battling headaches, extreme fatigue, and why I couldn't lose any weight.  I am now counting carbs and walking daily, and to my surprise, the headaches have eased up and I've lost 5 lbs.  I am now ready to take my fitness to the next level--on our way to a nursery Saturday to buy some new shrubs for our front yard, we passed by a gym that offers a 6-week X-treme Fitness class aka Boot Camp!  After speaking with the young man who owned the gym, giving him the low down on my condition and my age, he convinced me that this is something I could do, so I signed up!!!

I am going to try and start on Tuesday, and I'll keep you updated on my progress.

My wonderful husband gave me a cruise for my 50th birthday and while I don't feel like going into the details, we missed boarding the boat by 2 minutes.  We were all devastated, but Charles would not let us wallow in our disappointment--he made lemonade!!!  We got in the car and drove down to Boca Raton for the beginning of what he dubbed our "Vagabond Vacation!  We stayed at the most fabulous Boca Resort.  The resort and its grounds were just plain delicious--in the most beautiful artwork and service and restaurants--just plain beautiful!  The best thing about it is that the building is in the Art Deco style and it's entirely pink!!!

We not only stopped in Boca Raton but in Orlando as well, where we took my mother on her first visit to Disney World!  I've posted a slideshow on the left of our weeklong adventure!

All I can say is God is Good, and we may not have gotten the vacation we wanted but we most certainly got the vacation we needed! 

My mother and I went on a Safari down in a town called Loxahatchee, FL which was totally awesome!

We saw animals there that we'd never seen before!  Needless to say, when we got back home we were all very tired and extremely happy!

A Digi Layout

Happy Saturday Morning!  You would not believe that I am posting from a Camper owned by my girlfriend, Valerie!  Val invited Temple and me to camp with her and Temple's BFF, Tatiana at a wonderful campground down in St. Augustine, FL.  We arrived last night after work and we'll spend the day with Val and Tati. 

When Charles called me last night, we were at this really cute little restaurant on the campgrounds having dinner.  My ever witty husband responded that, "you guys are really roughen it!"

Anywho, as I always have trouble sleeping when I'm away from home, I've been up since about 6:30am and I decided to do a digi LO of my favorite subject--Temple!!!

We have such a busy weekend planned!  We'll spend the day here in St. Augustine, tomorrow we have a barbeque to attend at one of my other girlfriend's home and Monday, we're off to the Beach!

A Digi LO!

My mother-in-law's little doggie, Coco is just the cutest!  She is so mellow and sweet.  She also takes long walks on the beach with me!  I took these pictures of Coco a couple of weeks ago.

Catching Up!

I can't believe it's been almost 2 weeks since I last posted.  I've been dealing with some medical problems lately that has me a bit self-absorbed.  I'm home today because I have a doctor's appt this afternoon to go over the results of some special blood tests that she had me do.

First I want to start off with the Tellen's Place Challenge this week which is "Going to the Chapel!"  That's right, we want to see your wedding projects!

Charles and I got married 8 years ago and I've been scrapping for about 4 years now--I realized that I never did any LOs of our wedding.  We were married at a beautiful Bed and Breakfast Inn in Hyde Park, New York.  Our wedding dinner took place at a great restaurant right on the Hudson River.  Thinking back on that magical day has prompted me to continue scrapping my wedding day and create a wedding scrapbook.  So look for more postings of my wedding day!  And I'll start with this LO!

Here's some details:

I sprayed these chipboard letters with Tattered Angels shimmer mists.  And I must comment on my fabulous hat--It's just fabulous ;D

These chipboard embellies are so old that I almost forgot I had them, but I'm glad I remembered because they were perfect for this LO.

I also tried my hand at some hand sewing that I've seen popping up on LOs all over the web.

I created a pocket out of this picture where I was able to slide my tag in with my journaling

You must go over to Tellen's Place and join in on the fun!  I didn't post Tellen's Place Challenge from last week which was Father's Day.  Since I know you played along last week, I'm sure you saw my card posted there!!!  Temple and I will be presenting this card to Charles on Sunday.  He is so no frills and a less is more kind of guy that I decided to keep this card sweet and simple.  Charles is such an active guy that he's also gonna love Edward on his skateboard.

On to my Birthday Blog Candy Giveaway.  When I sent my winners (Shari - 1st pick; Sandra - 2nd pick; Terry - 3rd pick) their goodies I included this card in the packages asking them to create a project for me to post here.  These lovely ladies did not disappoint! 

Not only did Terry make these beautiful tags, but she actually sent them to me.  The family tag was for Charles and you can see the beautiful pink tag has my name on it and Temple's has her name.  You really have to see these tags in person to truly appreciate the work that went into them.

Rose Petal did several projects which are totally awesome!  My favorite is that really cute box!

Cricutrookie did a wonderful LO of her daughter and little friend ;D and used some of the goodies I sent her on the project!

Well, I have gotten to the end of this post, and I'll try not to stay away so long next time.  I've actually done a couple of LOs of Temple to include in her School scrapbook that I'll share with you later.

Some Digi LOs

Good Morning!

We are on our way to Disney World for the day!  I hope you have something fun planned as well.  I was getting ready to do a digi while on this drive down and came across this digi that I did last week, I think, of myself!

This is a picture of Temple and one of her girlfriend's, Valerie, that was taken about 2 years ago.  It's amazing how much she's grown since.

This was a quick page template that I used to do a quick page ;) of Temple and Tatiana!

I was totally intrigued by my good friend's EssenseVibez ability to digitally color in her digi images.  So I gave it a shot and found it fun to do!  Once again Temple and Tatiana!

GDT Member at ARTastic!!!

I have been waiting for several months to announce that I am GDT member for the month of June at ARTastic!!!  ARTastic is a monthly challenge blog that provides artwork as the inspiration.

This month's inspiration piece is "The Perfumed Garden" by John Coburn:

I just loved the beautiful tree and the muted colors.  The birds are lovely and color of the falling leaves is gorgeous! Here's my interpretation of the piece!

There are also Diva Demands to earn an extra 6 points!  They are:

1 x tree = 1pt
2 x different coloured birds = 2pts
3 x falling leaves = 3pts

It was fun to photoshop our pictures into the shape of the falling leaves.  Here are some closeups:

Tellen's Place - PP Challenge

I love these pictures of Temple--they are actually her end of year school pictures, hence my apple PP!  I did a lot more journaling than I usually do, but I wanted to say a little bit about her school accomplishments this year in first grade--I also wanted to write down a list of some of her personality traits.
