Saturday LOs!

I just posted a LO at Soul Scrappers where the challenge was to use a B&W photo.  Since I love B&W photos, this was not a hard challenge:

I also scrapped a LO from a sketch that I got at Scrapbook etc.'s website.
I've been digging the 8 1/2 x 11 LOs lately, and I plan to do more--I think they're cool even though it still takes me as long to do this size as it does the 12x12!

Some Stuff!

I can't believe Halloween is this weekend!  Where does the time go???  We've been having fun with Halloween this year--the Community we live in has a Halloween party each year, and we go every year!  It was last Friday.  They have a costume contest too for different age groups, adults and family.  Each year Temple hopes to win for her costume and each year she doesn't win.  She tries hard not to cry but it's hard when you're a kid.  Well this year, there were no tears!  Here comes Dad to the rescue.

Charles decided that the 3 of us would dress up as a family and enter the family contest.  Temple and I were Minnie Mouse and Mommy Mouse, respectfully, with Charles, as you guessed it, Mickey Mouse!  And the best news -- WE WON 1st Place for family!  I didn't carry my camera so I don't have any pictures.  We were photographed by the Community's photographer and we will be getting a copy of the picture.  I'll post it when that happens.

Charles and Temple have put up the Halloween decorations out in the front yard, and I took a picture.
We went to the Pumpkin Patch a couple of nights ago and picked out a very large pumpkin for Charles and Temple to carve.  I also picked up a few mini pumpkins to decorate for our dining room table for Thanksgiving.
On an un-Halloween related issue.  I was having lunch in our breakroom the other day with my co-workers, Barbara and Sara.  Sara is engaged to be married to Seth and she was addressing envelopes to send out to friends and family, her wedding announcement.  It was such an awesome announcement that I asked her for one so that I could scrap something for her desk.  She'd already received a Robin card for her birthday and she said "Oh Yes!  Take 2!!!"  Barb and I just laughed!  So I created the below LO of her announcement and when I realized that it wouldn't stand on its own on her desk, I created the frame back.  I'll be giving this to her tomorrow--I hope she likes it!
Have a wonderful evening!

School Days!

Temple took school pictures a couple of weeks ago, and of course, I had to scrap one right away!

Tellen's Place Halloween Challenge!

I missed entering the Tellen's Place Challenge this week, but I did use their free image to create this Halloween Goodie Box.  Make sure you join Tellen's Place tomorrow when they post their new challenge!
Have a good evening!

A Couple of LOs

Here are a couple of LOs I posted over at Soul Scrappers--the Challenge was to create a LO of Fall.

I created the above LO with October Kit from SEI.  I love everything in this kit!

I used Stampin' Up PPs and PP scraps from my stash to create the above.

Some Cards to Share

I have been trying to get into the habit of immediately making a card right after creating a LO with the leftover scraps.  Here are a few to share!

Most of the products used on these cards are Stampin' Up.  Thanks for looking and have a Blessed evening!

Bossom Buddies

Hello All!  I hope you are having a wonderful evening.  I've once again joined in on a challenge over at Soul Scrappers.  It was a color challenge to use blue, brown and off-white in your project.  I did this LO of Charles and Temple when we were down in Daytona Beach this summer.
You see, you can get away with adding flowers to a LO with a picture of a man!

Ah, to be so carefree as my Girl! It only comes with childhood!!!
Happy Scrapping!

ARTastic October Challenge

Hello All!
I have been trying to post for the last couple of days and once again I was either having trouble with my laptop, or our router seemed to be on the blink!

The ARTastic DT was charged to create a LO based on 'A Summer Morning' by Rupert Bunny.

The bonus criteria is:
  • use shades of pink = 1 pt
  • pink rose(s) = 2 pts
  • white bird(s) = 3 pts
This beautiful painting certainly lends to the shabby chic style, but I am lousy at it, so I did what I do--I used bright colors!

I'd photoshopped the picture of Temple about a year ago, but had never gotten around to using it until this challenge.  As you can see, I also pulled out my Cricut to cut out the birds and the chandelier.  Here are some close-ups:

Go check out ARTastic and get in on the fun!!!
