Beautiful Dreamer

I've posted this layout at a very different monthly-challenge blog called Artastic. This site offers a work of art as inspiration! This month's inspiration is Van Gogh's Starry Night. Some people could interpret this painting as dark and a little bit menacing but I see the peace and the chance to rest in the dark night! I immediately thought of this picture I had of Temple when she wasn't feeling well, when she looked so peaceful to me as she slept. I knew this would be the photo I'd use to capture the feelings that Starry Night provokes for me.

Sisters!

I just posted this layout over at 52 Sketches 52 Weeks a day late! This is based on their Sketch #41. I tried to get it together but I had my sister and her family over for dinner yesterday and that was more important than trying to get this layout posted before the deadline!

Pumpkin Picking!

We went to the Pumpkin Patch so Temple could choose a pumpkin to go out on the front lawn and one that she and Charles can carve closer to Halloween! I used Sketch #40 from the Let's Scrap site which was totally appropriate for this layout!

Ebony Beauty!

I just posted this LO over at Scraps of Color. It's based on their sister site's Classy Coordinates' sketch #40. This is my 2nd cousin, Ebony from NYC. I took these pictures of Ebony during our Reunion last month. It's been a good while since last I've seen her and I find that she's grown up into a very fine young woman!

When you have a moment, have a visit over at Scraps of Color and Classy Coordinates!

My Truly Lovely Nieces!

These are my nieces, Kera and Kayla and they are 2 of the most sweetest and lovely young ladies I have had the pleasure to know. (I can see my sister reading this and wondering who on Earth am I talking about?)!!! Well, as I am Auntie, I get to brag about them with extreme bias, and in my world, they are just perfect!!! All kidding aside, I am extremely proud of both of them. Kera recently graduated from Florida State University and Kayla placed 2nd at the Florida State Spelling Bee. They are determined young women who I have no doubt will succeed in this world.
