A Digi LO

I've been so inspired by the beautiful digi creations that EssenseVibez does with the Karla Dudley digi line that I finally bought a few digi kits.  Soooo, here is my first attempt using Karla Dudley!

I just found out that I can post pictures directly to my blog from my phone, so here are some pix of Temple(who else ;D) that I have on my phone!!!

These are pix taken of Temple a couple of weeks ago @ her favorite girls' clothing store called Justice, just for girls!  She was trying on the hats, but we didn't buy any!

Tellen's Place Week 14 Challenge - Inks & Distressing

I have fallen in love with all things mists!!!  I've used Shimmerz spritz, Tattered Angel mist, and Smoochspritz mist on this LO and I only wish you could see it in person to appreciate the magic of mists ;)

Candy Shoppe Designs It's Raining Challenge

Candy Shoppe's challenge this month is It's Raining, It's Pouring and I immediately thought of this cute digi image from Tellen's Place Designs (and which I am a design team member) to use!  This is Sophie with her umbrella--she's cute, isn't she!?!

We all have those days even when the sun is shining bright that it just seems to be pouring--we don't even want to get out of the bed.  If we're lucky those type of days are few and far between.  I used Glossy Accents on the umbrella as well as on the card itself to imitate raindrops.  The PPs used are from Scenic Route and the flower is Prima.  I colored Sophie in with my Koh-I-Noor woodless colour pencils and Prismacolor Premier markers.  This is a great challenge to remind us to count our blessings because we all know that there is someone out there whose situation could possibly be worse than our own.

Some Pictures to Share!

Yesterday morning, Charles decided that we needed a few plants to add to our front and back yards.  So, we went to a new nursery that just opened about 1/2 mile down the road from us.

So Temple, ever the Daddy's girl, got to pick most of the flowers (with a little help from Mommy and Daddy!)

I must say, she took her assignment very seriously, chose well and even pulled the cart around the lot to the register.

While we were there, we picked up some plants for my mother-in-law.  We surprised her by driving over with the goods!  Here's Temple in the car on the way there.

Mom wasn't expecting us but she was pleasantly surprised!

Charles got right to work!

And Temple got busy watering!

I totally love Mom's dog, Coco!

And I think she sees me as that sucker lady(!), because as soon as she sees me she rolls right onto her back so that I can give her a tummy rub!

Tellen's Place - Week 12 Challenge - It's All About You!

I Love My Sister!

I received this email from my sister the other day.  It was a poem entitled "A Good Woman."  She said it reminded her of me.  Maybe some of you have seen this floating around the internet but this was my first time seeing it and I was deeply touched that my sister thought of me when she read it!

Saturday Afternoon Catch Up!

I know I haven't blogged in a while!  You know how it is sometimes where you're running as fast as you can and yet you still can't catch up with yourself?  Well, that's me.

First let me start with my birthday blog candy--I decided to make another page to keep it all in one place.  You'll see at the top of my blog my birthday blog candy page.  Make sure you click on it and check out the goodies.

I tried hard to blog this morning but that didn't happen either, but I still wanted to share with you my most delicious, freshly brewed coffee that I did have this morning! 

After hinting extremely loudly that for Christmas 2009, I would love a coffeemaker that would grind the bean and brew, my DH got the hint and obliged. 

Coffee drinkers, is this not a most wonderful machine!?!

Temple had such a super, duper birthday party on 11/21/09 (which is her actual birthday) and I haven't done much in regards to scrapbooking her day.  I bought a mini album last November to do just that and I still haven't gotten around to it.  I'm glad that I got to do at least this page.  Also you will notice that Birthday Edward arrived with a yummy birthday cake!!!
