Walk

I participated in Soul Scrappers, Soul Quest Challenge.  Each entrant was mailed the same embellies to use in a LO which had to be based on this quote, "If we are facing in the right direction, all we have to do is keep on walking."
I managed to use all of the embellies in this LO.  Of course I didn't take a pic of the goodies before I used them, but a few of them were the arrows, the stamped boots, the word stickers, acrylic beads, brads, and that little tag that I stamped the leaf on.  I took that photo from our hotel balcony when we were down in Daytona Beach this summer, and I thought it would work well with this LO's theme.  The little flowers that started out yellow and then were shimmerzed and misted by me, came in the goodie package and so did the yellow and brown ribbon.

Well, my eyelids are getting very heavy, so I'll say goodnight to you, and as always, Happy Scrapping!

Remember - A Digi LO

Here's a digi LO to share with you this Sunday evening.  I sometimes forget that everything does not have to be hard, and every moment doesn't have to be filled with some activity.  There are times in our lives that should just be simple, serene.  I was looking at these pictures that Charles took of me when we were away for the weekend in April to celebrate our wedding anniversary, and I remember how relaxed and unhurried I felt that weekend.  We didn't do anything particularly special--we were just away from our every very busy days and just enjoying each other.  It reminded me that we should not just wait to go away to decompress, but that it's something that we should work into our everyday.  Remember the white space in a LO???  Well, it's basically the same principle--take time to rest your eyes!!!  It's quite beneficial!
Have a Blessed Day!

Summertime - Epcot

I was introduced to a scrapping website called Soul Scrappers.  It's a cool site with scrappy challenges.  I decided to do their sketch challenge #18.  I decided to do a Disney page since we went to Disney World several times this summer and I had not yet scrapped a LO.  Here is my LO:

This page is soooo bright and happy--just like Disney World!

Temple... Every Beat!

Happy Saturday Morning!

Just thought I'd share a Temple LO with you.  It's so funny how just a short while ago, she'd get so excited over another LO of herself.  Now she is soooo over it and couldn't care less!!!  When did that happen?  Luckily, she still enjoys the picture-taking, but what will I do when she's no longer interested in that as well?  Why do they have to grow up so fast?  Thank goodness for scrapbooking and the ability to preserve moments in time.  I'll also cross the picture taking resistance when it happens--I'll just make her ;D
Some close-ups:
I really like this crochet flower and the pearls that was sent to me by my good friend, Terry a while ago.  I was waiting for the right time to use them.
These pretty PPs are from Scenic Route.
Hope you have something fun to do today!
Happy Scrapping!

A Wedding Card

My girlfriend Stacy got married Labor Day Saturday!  And it was a lovely wedding!  Of course, I am doing a scrapbook wedding album which I plan for her Christmas gift.  I'll share some of the LOs as I get them done.  I do have the card that I made for her from Charles, Temple and me that I'd like to share.
I find that I'm in love with Kraft cardstock right now--this is from Stampin Up and so is the rose embossing folder.  Congratulations is also a Stampin Up stamp.  And the ribbon is... you guessed it, Stampin Up ribbon!!!

Happy Scrapping!

Temple AKA Missy

Temple had a very distinct personality right from the start.  She didn't cry a lot and she was always observant.  When other babies would feed off of each other when one would cry and the others would join in, Temple would look at all of them as if they were a science project to observe!  When she was a wee baby, I used to look at her giving me her "Look" and I would always go right back at her, "Look here, Missy!!!"  I used that phrase so much with her that Missy just stuck.  Though everyone knows Charles and I call her Missy, we are the only ones who do call her by her nickname.

Anywho...  I finally did a LO of  Temple and her nickname!
I once again, turned to Creative Scrappers for their sketch inspiration.  This is another sketch (#120) by Aphra Bolyer.  The pictures I wanted to use were portrait size so I rotated the sketch 90 degrees left.
Here are some closeups:
As you can see, I used a bit of glimmer mist!
I also broke out the Cricut for the heart, stars and word diecuts.

There's my circut again for Temple.
and to cut out Missy!

Thanks for looking and Happy Scrapping!

Remembering Gramps

The second year of my grandmother's sunset is coming up and I find myself thinking about her more than I already do.  Scrapping is so therupeutic -- I know because it helped me through my grief at losing this most important person.  I scrapped almost a whole album of Gramps that week I was home.  I'll share those LOs with you sometime.  In the meantime, here is a LO that I worked on this week to remember my Gramps.
She was just..... beautiful!
